Matějková, Veronika ; Liguš, Ján (advisor) ; Noble, Ivana (referee) ; Kaplánek, Michal (referee)
1 Abstract The aim of the presented thesis was to compactly document and evaluate the theoretical, practical and research aspects of catechetical work from the perspective of practical theology with adults in the CzHCh from its foundation (1920) to the present (2018). In this paper we used a mixed method, i.e. a combination of qualitative and quantitative questioning, according to the Danish theologian Van der Ven. Specifically, the method of historical-critical analysis of the source material was predominant in the second chapter, mainly analysing all available printed (books, scripts, journal articles, congregational documents) and other CzHCh sources dealing with adult catechesis in the CzHCh. The analysis of the sources was combined with discursive analysis and a diachronic method tracing the changes or development of phenomena between periods. In the third chapter, using an empirical-exploratory method, we presented the research with an author-designed questionnaire survey. Some of the data were supplemented by authorized interviews with memoirists. This work can now serve as a basic practical-theological analysis 2 for the development of adult catechesis in the current CzHCh, for the future IX. Ordinary Assembly of the CzHCh (2024). At the same time, this work is a contribution to the field of...

Matisovská, Zuzana ; Mohelník, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (referee)
The thesis "The Sacrament of Confirmation - the theological understanding in the particular documents and regulations of the dioceses (in Slovak Republic and Czech Republic) and its comparison with the theological concept in the universal magisterial documents from the second Vatican council until now" deals with the sacrament of confirmation as the essential part of Christian initiation which constitutes the heart of sacramental organism and shapes being of every Christian. First two chapters analyze presence of the seven aspects of confirmation in universal and particular magisterial documents (history of salvation; sacramental sign; relationship to the rest of initiation, common priesthood and apostolate; effects; recipient and catechesis; minister; ecumenical perspective). Then in the third chapter, the two approaches are compared and critically considered.

Škerenčáková, Jolana ; Zimmermannová, Marie (advisor) ; Přibyl, Stanislav (referee)
Život a poslání katechetky S. Marie Laetitie Milady Popelové, OSU Jolana Škerenčáková ABSTRAKT: The central idea of this bachelor's thesis is the personality, life and mission of Sister Maria Laetitia Milada Popelova from the Order of Saint Voršila. The thesis focuses mainly on the period when she could devote herself to catechetical and pastoral activities. The thesis will reflect on her approach based on developments in the Catholic Church in the field of catechesis. Testimonies of witnesses and chronicles of the sisters of the Order of Saint Voršila will be used during the research. The first chapter deals with catechesis and its development, especially during the period of active activity of Sister Laetitia in this area. It reflects the state of catechesis based on the work of Sister Consilia Nováková from the Order of St. Voršila. Both sisters worked in essentially the same period and in the same community of Voršila sisters, only the places sometimes passed. The second source for learning about the state and perspective of catechesis at the time of the sisters' work are church documents. Approaches are formulated from them, with which I will compare the work of Sister Laetitia Milady Popelová. In the second chapter, the life of Sister Laetitia Milady Popelova is presented based on her biographical...
Catechesis as an Introduction to the Mass: A Protestant's view
Živný, Tomáš ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
Katecheze jako uvedení do mše : Očima jednoho evangelíka Summary Catechesis as an introduction to the Mass: A Protestant's view In my diploma thesis I address the relationship between catechesis and the Mass, namely how the believers of the Catholic Church are acquainted with what is (or is meant to be) the centerpiece of their religious life. In the first - theoretical - part of the paper I first explain what the Mass is and how it has evolved historically, which gradually leads me to the analysis of its present form and content. I then turn my attention to catechesis, whose historical development I outline as well, and to its place among the various services of the Church. I also mention the close connection between catechesis and liturgy, which both contain a dimension of the other.Another common feature of catechesis and the Mass is that they are both Christocentric, yet at the same time anthropological in their focus on man. In the second part of my thesis I deal with the practical form of introduction to the Mass, which takes place with the help of catechetical aids (catechisms, books or coloring books). I analyze these aids and then conclude with the mention of the liturgical basis of the catechesis of converts and of those who are preparing for their First Holy Communion. Keywords catechesis, Mass,...

Bandhauer, Petra ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Muchová, Ludmila (referee) ; Macek, Ondřej (referee)
The thesis focuses on the Maria Montessori's method of religious education, how it has taken root in christian catechesis. The purpose of the Petra Bandhauer thesis is to analyse its principles, to describe its development and the way of reception by the educationalists. To provide a deeper glimpse into the field of the theological anthropology the author compares some of Montessori's opinions, most criticised, with the views of Wolfhart Pannenberg and Karl Rahner. The last aim is to introduce the way of reflection of Montessori religious education in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and in Godly Play, to examine their practice both in Germany and in the Czech Republic and to highlight the potential they have for the spiritual formation of children in the ecumenical christian society.
Teacher-Pupil Relation in Religious Education and Catechesis
Čermáková, Bronislava ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (referee)
The diploma thesis "Teacher-Pupil Relation in Religious Education and Catechesis" presents some aspects of relations in religious education and catechesis. In the first part of the thesis, some general characteristics of teacher-pupil relation are described from the perspective of pedagogy and psychology and some ethic aspects of this relation are outlined. The second part deals with the specific features of the relations developed in religious education and catechesis. The subject and aim of catechesis (which is the growth of the catechised's faith) and of the religious education (the developement of mature and responsible attitude towards religious belief and Christianity) both imply the conclusion, that the teacher-pupil relation is much closer and more personal than in other school subjects teaching. This relation should be, above all, based on mutual love and respect. This proximity can become the source of mutual enrichment, but it also brings a considerable risk of failure and abuse. The damages caused this way have grave consequences for the personal developement of the catechised, their relation towards themselves, other people and God. The responsibility in such cases always lies upon the catechist (teacher). The healthy relation between the subjects of catechesis presumes high level of...
Catechesy for the adult. Situation in Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic
Černý, Štěpán ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
This work uses analytical-comparativel methodology in basic outline trying to map catechetical-pastoral activity of the Church in Czechoslovakia since the establishment of the first republic to the present. Given the extensive topic it is focused only to selected major figures of Czech churches who were acting from the thirties of the 20th century to the Velvet Revolution and who, through their services, influenced the lives of many people. Work first defines the terminology and then presents a theoretical study of basic post-conciliar magisterium of the Catholic Church documents, relating to the subject of work - catechesis of adults. In this light as well as in historical and social context of the past, this work also perceives testimony of life, services, and ideas of three giants of the era which were Tomislav Kolakovič, Ota Mádr and Jan Evangelista Urban. Through their lifes analysing the literary works of those, this work will show individual paths of adults-catechesis and what these theologians were anticipating with as it was found later in church documents.

The thesis seeks to look up tasks of catechesis of the analysed documents of Magisterium and tries to accord this tasks to three pillars of the identity of catechesis: education of faith, service to Godʼs word, the activity of the Church. The thesis analyses the tasks of catechesis as education of faith in three levels. First, tasks of catechesis according to degree of maturity of faith - to wake up, to develop, to lead towards maturity, to strenghten the faith. Second, the essence of tasks of catechesis as education of faith represent tasks to promote the knowledge of the Christian message, education to prayer, to participation on the liturgy, to moral formation, to responsability for the Community and to mission. The third level are the...
